Eastville Park is a large Victorian city park and a great place to relax, surrounded by a spacious and diverse landscape featuring woodlands and wildflower meadows.
There are two main open spaces that offer wonderful views and are an ideal spot for field sports, with football teams often playing on weekends. There is a bowling green, tennis courts, a one mile running circuit and a children’s play area. The park is also used for community events.
The park, completed in 1909 with the building of the lake, was constructed by unemployed labourers as part of an early job creation scheme.
